psychotherapy & counselling

You may be feeling that your symptoms of depression and anxiety are becoming too much to manage. Or, perhaps family relationships, past hurts, addiction, grief and loss, or traumatic experiences are impacting your sense of well-being. Exploration and growth will take place with your therapist in a safe and non-judgemental space.

We strive to provide every client with an authentic and safe environment to explore even the most difficult topics and feelings. Perhaps you have been experiencing feelings of sadness, anxiety, guilt, shame, and anger. Perhaps you are having difficulty in relationships. Perhaps you have experienced a traumatic event and you are suffering as a result.

We work from a trauma and attachment informed perspective and believe people have the capacity to heal and process even the most difficult feelings and experiences. We use many evidenced based approaches within therapy and value continuing education to support our clients. We offer individual and couples counselling.

Some Modalities that we use:
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Restructuring)
  • Somatic Experiencing
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy
  • Polyvagal Theory
  • Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy
We offer both in person and online appointments through (secure) video conferencing. We are happy to offer a FREE 15 minute discovery call to discuss any questions you may have about working with a therapist.

Please feel free to contact us to learn about our fee structure.

parenting

Parenting can be very difficult. As the world has changed, so have the pressures and demands of parenting. We support parents to reconnect with their children with the intention being that parents feel more confident in the strategies and choices they are making for their children.

We support with some of the perplexing problems of childhood, such as:
  • Addressing disconnection
  • Children not listening to you
  • Concerns with behaviour
  • Improving understanding of child development
  • Providing discipline strategies that are developmentally friendly
  • And more…
Attachment in the First Year
Did you know in the first year babies attach through their senses? This means that babies want to be with, touch, see, smell and/or hear their primary caregivers.

sleep coaching

Infant & paediatric sleep coaching (ages 0-6)
Arefreshing alternative to popular sleep training methods. We help parents help their kids. We support sleep from a developmental perspective providing evidence based strategies that also optimize caregiver well-being.

Many parents start thinking about infant sleep during pregnancy, and talk to friends and family about what to expect. With so much information at our fingertips, it is hard to know what information to listen to and things can become confusing and frustrating. Sometimes, this creates even more questions and uncertainty, leading to more stress. We work from the framework that both child and parent well-being should be considered.

Please reach out for more information on our sleep support and sleep packages.
My hope is to come alongside you and support you in creating change and meeting your goals, while also providing education around normal infant sleep and appropriate expectations.

neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive approach that uses EEGs to help optimize brain function.Brain training can support a variety of challenges, such as poor sleep, lack of focus, trauma symptoms, feelings of anxiety and more.

After taking part in neurofeedback, people can feel better emotionally and physically.
My hope is to come alongside you and support you in creating change and meeting your goals, while also providing education around normal infant sleep and appropriate expectations.
